=======================Hello \(^.^)/ Thanks for Visiting=======================
About Me
I take pictures of plain things and improve how viewers see them. I see most simple things as art, which may or may not improve my photography skills. In all of my photos, I edit the brightness, contrast, and color. I don't always add complicating things to improve my images; but when I do, I screw the images up. This is why I like to make my photos simple and not too photoshopped. My photos might end up being too original and old, but I like things to be natural because these are photos of God's world and creation. It is beautiful the way it is, and I don't want to have to use advanced photoshop edits on my photos to prove it.
Overview
This class taught me that beauty is technically everywhere; we just have to angle the camera and photoshop the photographs in a way that will make them perfect. There are many different ways to take picture, but the one rule we must pay attention to is the rule of thirds. I also learned that there three different settings you can tweak with on cameras: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Aperture is the depth of field, so you can change it to blur out or reveal the background; focus on what is close or what is far. The shutter speed is important to take picture of fast things. Lower the seconds on the shutter speed to catch a clear image of moving subjects. Making the shutter speed slower could also help you take good pictures like taking a picture of a waterfall, but a tripod is needed. ISO is how much light the camera will take in. Lower it in bright places, and raise it in dark places. If we aren't good at tweaking them, we can let the camera adjust and change them to the best match by switching to "Scene Intelligent Auto" setting. Now that I took this class, I will try to apply my newly acquired knowledge to my personal life.
Five Sample Photos
I chose this photo because this was the first photo where I used the lens flare edit in Photoshop. I thought the lens flare looked well, posted the photo on Flickr, and got about 3 likes. I was inspired by how Americans fought so hard to win their independence from the British, so I took a photo of the flags and matched it with this quote.
Aperture: f/5.6 Shutter Speed: 0.005 sec (1/200) ISO: 100 Focal Length: 100 mm Taken on February 24, 2014 |
For the "MIRROR MIRROR" photo challenge, I thought about making a photoshopped reflection of my subject. Instead of just making my dog and the reflection of my dog look elsewhere, I made it seem like they are looking at each other, connecting the real and the photoshop worlds.
Aperture: f/3.1 Shutter Speed: 0.0167 sec (1/60) ISO: 200 Focal Length: 4.5 mm Taken on April 29, 2014 |
Still inspired how Americans earned their independence, I checked out the flags and noticed that they'll make a good negative space photo. Instead of just having a blank white or blue sky, the clouds came as extras to enhance how the picture looks.
Aperture: f/10.0 Shutter Speed: 0.0025 sec (1/400) ISO: 100 Focal Length: 79 mm Taken on July 5, 2014 |
Photo Series: The Beauty of Spring
Spring is coming and a lot of beautiful blossoms or flowers are growing around the depressing school to give students more spirit and happiness. Although the first day of spring was not too long ago, this "dreadful" school was quickly enchanted by the glamorous power of mother nature. A lot of students would think that school is horrible, boring, and scary, but these plants seem to greatly doubt that.
